Getting started
Identity verification
Which documents are accepted, how long review takes, and what to do if it is declined.
Verification is reviewed by a member of staff. There is no automatic score that silently rejects you.
What to submit
- A government-issued photo identity document: passport, national ID card or driving licence where it carries a photograph and a date of birth.
- A proof of address issued in the last three months: a utility bill, a bank statement or a government letter showing your name and the address you registered with.
- For larger amounts, evidence of the source of funds — a payslip, a sale contract, a tax return or an exchange statement.
Photograph the whole document, all four corners visible, in daylight and without a flash on a glossy page. Do not crop, retouch or "clean up" a scan: an edited document has to be rejected regardless of whether the edit was innocent.
How long it takes
Usually one business day, longer if a document is unreadable or the country on the document differs from the country you registered with. You are told what is missing rather than left waiting.
If it is declined
You will be given the reason and you may submit again. The most common causes are an expired document, an address proof older than three months, and a name that differs from the registration without an explanation — a marriage certificate or a deed poll resolves the last one.
Why it exists
We are a custodian: we hold assets on your behalf. Knowing who our clients are is what keeps that from being an anonymous transfer service, and it is the condition on which any regulated banking partner will work with us.
