Fiat is now a first-class asset, not a payment step

Euros and dollars are held, shown and accounted for like any other asset — not converted on arrival and forgotten.

Updated September 6, 2026

A lot of platforms treat fiat as a doorway: money comes in, it is immediately turned into something else, and the balance you see is denominated in that something else. We decided against it.

What changed

EUR and USD are assets in the catalogue, with their own accounts in the ledger, their own balances in your portfolio and their own rows in your transaction history. You can hold euros for a month without holding anything else, and the portfolio will show you exactly that.

Why it matters for accounting

Double-entry postings balance within a single asset. That is not a limitation to work around — it is what makes a ledger checkable. A conversion therefore posts twice: your euros out and to the treasury, the dollars from the treasury and to you, inside one database transaction that either happens completely or not at all.

The consequence is that the spread is not a fee line invented for the occasion. It is the difference between the two halves, and it lands on the treasury account where it can be measured.

What it means for you

You choose when to convert, not us. A European client can fund in euros, sit in euros, and convert on a day of their choosing — or never convert at all, if the products they want are denominated in euros.

Still in sandbox

The legal entity and the acquiring agreement are not in place, so the bank rails do not move real money yet. The model, the ledger and the screens are done and running; what is missing is a signature, and we are not going to pretend otherwise on a marketing page.
